Known for their flamboyant lifestyle especially in red carpet events, on Tuesday's inauguration ceremony of President Uhuru Kenyatta MPs will have to forgo the luxury of the top of the range vehicles.
Buses will ferry Members of Parliament to President Uhuru Kenyatta's inauguration from 7 am next Tuesday.
A memo has already been circulated by the National Assembly clerk Michael Sialai asking the lawmakers to park their cars at the parliament building as they talk on the long buses to the occasion.
"The same [mode of] transport will be used to State House for the luncheon and thereafter to Parliament buildings where members will pick their individual transport" read the memo issued on Friday.
"Kindly note that individual vehicles will not have access to the venue. Sergeants at Arms and Parliament's protocol officers will be on hand to guide the members," they were told.
