Kibera Black Starshead coach Godfrey Oduor has admitted that their dream of earning promotion to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) in the 2018 season is diminishing.
The team sits in the 12th position on the log with 27 points behind leaders Vihiga United.
Although they had a tough first leg, the Kibera side have registered massive improvement in the second leg with notable away wins against Palos FC and leaders Vihiga United.
But while speaking to local sports site Futaa, coach Oduor said their season dream was almost scuttled after a shaky first leg.
Our target for the season was to get promoted to KPL. Mathematically it was and is still possible, with the signings we made I felt we had a realistic chance of getting promoted to KPL," he said.
"However I have to be a realist, it will be difficult considering the number of games left before the season comes to a close, the second leg is always tougherfor all teams" he added.
"A good first leg would have put us in a good position for promotion but we are not giving up just yet, we will fight until it's mathematically impossible."
