A man has denied killing a nurse at a medical facility in Nairobi early this month.
Joseph Mungai yesterday denied killing Faustine Mwadime at the Chiromo Lane Medical Centre in Parklands on December 6.
Mungai was arraigned after the prosecution told court that he was fit to stand trial.
According to a report produced in court, Mungai had gone to the facility for alcohol detoxification and mental issues.
He was earlier remanded by the court to first undergo a mental test to enable police to complete their investigations.
The medical report had to be first produced in court before taking a plea.
The licensed gun holder is accused of shooting dead the nurse who was attending to him after he checked in at the facility.
The case will be mentioned on January 15 for further directions on bail application.
