2013 Presidential hopeful Mohammed Abduba Dida who shot into the limelight for his quirky remarks has declared that he will prioritise men's health if elected president in next year's polls.
Dida said that obesity, especially for married couples, has become a major concern and great risk factor to the average life expectancy of Kenyans.
He attributed the problem to bad eating habits which he said are propagated by newlyweds who do not know how to prepare a balanced and nutritious meal.
"Health will be a key factor in my leadership. A wife should be trained in nutrition for her to prepare a balanced meal. I'll make it mandatory for all those intending to get married to have training." He said.
Excessive fat in the abdomen comes as result of overconsumption of carbohydrates. Studies have shown that having a large amount of belly fat increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and colorectal cancer.
