NASA supporters from Kisii County have now urged to support President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto and forget opposition leader Raila Odinga’s promise to Cannan.
According to Tabaka ward representative Daniel Apepo, those supporting Odinga should accept the fact that politics is over and it’s time to work and wait for 2022.
Speaking outside Kisii county assembly on Monday Apepo urged NASA leaders to be realistic and accept the fact that Uhuru is the legitimately elected president of Kenya instead of bringing unnecessary tension.
“I like NASA supporters but the problem lies with their leader Raila Odinga who is not realistic to tell them it's over until 2022 instead of giving them false hope, let them join the winning team and support Uhuru for the next five years,” said Apepo.
Apepo is among many leaders from the region who have called upon NASA supporters to remain calm and accept the fact that Odinga lost genuinely in the last election.
