Addressing the press in his office after returning from China on a tour organised by Ex-Prime Minister Raila Odinga, the Governor said its a personal prerogative to get tested and therefore, no one has ever been ambushed to undergo tests.
"Its an individual responsiblity to go for HIV tests and not compulsary as alleged. That is why its called volunteering, meaning one makes their own deciscion of knowing their status.
Therefore, no one has forced any employee of the county to undergo testing, its a misconseption and also some people are using that to stain my name," he cleared the air.
However, the County Boss confirmed to have adviced their workers to undergo HIV examination to know their status, so that those who could be found infected, be put in special programs of the County.
