Uasin Gishu County Director of Education Yusuf Jilo has assured parents that measures are in place to ensure that no other school is burnt rowdy students.
He said they are working closely with the police, county commissioner and intelligence officers to arrest any student planning to execute arson.
"It's sad that three schools in the county have been burnt. We won't allow it to happen again," he said.
Speaking during the 1st Eldoret Conference at Alphax College on Tuesday, Jilo said 30 students have been arrested and arraigned in court facing arson charges.
"I urge principals of secondary schools to embrace dialogue, since it's an easy way to know challenges facing students and should solve then before sunset to avoid such unrest," he said.
Jilo faulted those castigating for re-introduction of corporal punishment saying it's not the solution to students burning schools instead should dialogue.
