Wetangula was addressing Christians at Kisii catholic parish to drum up support for his party’s parliamentary candidate for Kitutu Chache South, Richard Onyonka.
He lamented the cost of living was unbearable for most Kenyans yet the JP political leadership treated it as ‘business as usual’.
Onyonka who is to face-off with his opponents on November 7, 2017, parliamentary poll claimed he was a promoter of constructive criticism irrespective of one’s social standing.
He cited incidents where he could take on the highest office in the land and his detractors without turning a hatemonger or abusive.
Onyonka urged the Christians to vote him by virtue of his development record that spoke for itself.
A Jubilee party candidate, Antony Kibagendi who met face to face with his competitor in the church said although Onyonka boasted of his development record, the time had come for a change.
He called for a peaceful election and pledged to work with his opponent to uplift the economic welfare of the residents.
