Omar said Mudavadi’s dream of running for presidency on a CORD ticket is not valid.

Speaking on Saturday, the senator urged the Amani party leader to seek support elsewhere.

Omar, who is the also the Wiper Party Secretary General, said that the coalition does not recognize Mudavadi.

The senator has urged other members of the coalition to distant themselves from rumours that CORD co-principals have agreed to endorse Mudavadi come 2017.

There have been reports that ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Wiper Party leader Stephen Musyoka and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula have picked Mudavadi to lead the coalition in next year's election.

Omar said that the three principals will have to compete amongst each other, adding that there will be endorsements in the coalition.

“We all know that it is either, Raila, Kalonzo or Wetangula who will fly the CORD presidential flag in 2017,” said Omar.

“Those claiming otherwise are impostors who want to sow where they never planted,” he added.

This comes after Mudavadi said he was willing to join the Cord coalition if it supports his presidential bid.
