Acting Interior CS Fred Matiangi has assured the country that no police officer will intimidate voters.
Speaking on Monday, the CS further defended the deployment of police officers across the country for Tuesday's elections.
"Their presence is only meant to facilitate what IEBC is mandated to do. They will not turn violent."
He noted more than 150,000 officers from various units have been deployed to maintain order and protect the electoral process countrywide.
"The deployment and management of our officers is demand driven," he said. "That is why the IG has sat in various sessions with IEBC to know how many officers are needed, where and when."
Matiangi further said all measures have been put in place to ensure all polling stations were secure.
