Thika Town Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a has cautioned the opposition against taking the referendum campaign to her constituency in what she terms as wasting her people’s time.
Speaking at ACK Thika where she had attended a church service, Ng’ang’a said that the opposition should give the government peace of mind to work and bring their issues during the next elections.
She added that Kenyans are giving out their signatures without knowing what they are signing for as the referendum is not important at all.
“Cord should bring their proposals to the parliament and we will look at them passing what requires to be passed into law rather than disturbing our government,” she added.
Ng’ang’a said that the opposition should accept that they lost in the elections first and the referendum will be of no reason.
“If they still believe that their votes were rigged, they might call for several referenda as they think everything including the motions passed in parliament are rigged,” she ridiculed.
