Speaking to this writer in Kisii town, Bunde described such reports as rumours which had no basis, clarifying that transfers of school managers cannot be effected in the middle of the year as it will disrupt learning programmes in schools and contribute to poor performance in national examinations.

"It is not in order for a professional body like TSC to sanction school heads' transfers in the middle of the year, even if there were serious issues regarding discipline of the said heads. The action will affect smooth running of the affected schools learning activities and programmes," clarified Bunde.

He confirmed his office had no information that any school head in the county had been transferred from their current stations to other stations.

His sentiments come amid allegations that the Principal of St. Charles Lwanga Ichuni Girls, Joyce Orioki was allegedly destined for a transfer to Nyabururu Girls National School to replace Imelda Ochenge.

2014 KCSE results for Ochenge's school are yet to be released by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) heightening anxiety among students, parents and other education stakeholders in the region.
