Addressing the media in Kisii, Rahab Mwikali said that the ongoing demonstrations have brought anxiety among Kenyans which needs to be addressed.

“As Mothers of this nation, we are worried about the demonstrations which are going on, hence we would like to challenge those organising the demos that there is no solution in streets,” she said.

"All we want is security, which will enable us do business hence without any contradiction we are are supporting the  current  government since they are providing security," said Mwikali.

"we are aware that there is also our mothers in  another side but we are urging them to avoid going to streets since the solution cannot be achieved through demos," she said

He added that both Cord principals know where the president is for them to have the dialogue rather than going to the streets.

“There is no solution that can be achieved in the streets but taking the nation back to the dark days, we have heard that properties have been destroyed by protesters an indication that the economy of this country is in danger,” she added.

Therefore, she challenged the leaders to make use of  the constitution in achieving their agenda of removing the IEBC commissioners from office.

Mwikali is in Kisii County and Nyanza with other chairs from Nyanza  for a four-day meeting with the National Anti-Corruption Campaign steering committee in which they are creating awareness on all aspects.
