A section of leaders from Ukambani and other parts of the nation has been calling upon Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to declare his political stand or retire from the political arena.
As much as Maendeleo Chap Chap leader Dr Alfred Mutua, Senator Johnson Muthama and Wiper’s David Musila among other leaders from Ukambani will remain in the game, none of them will rise politically to the level Kalonzo has reached.
Kalonzo has won the hearts of many Kenyans and the entire world for his charitable work. Recently, he bagged the African Dignitary Man of the year 2016 for his reconciliatory role in the nation of Sudan.
This clearly shows that he is a leader who can unite the nation. There is no other politician from Ukambani who has scooped more awards than the former vice president has done since he entered the field.
Ukambani elders will have to go back to the drawing board to identify the person to leader the community to the right direction. Kalonzo still remains a force to reckon with when it comes to Kenyan politics.
This is why coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga cannot afford to let him go while on the other side of town President Uhuru Kenyatta following his political footsteps.
