The Deputy President William Ruto has warned the Kamba community that if they do not vote for Jubilee their share in government is not assured.
Ruto made this announcement while on a campaign trail in Kamba land where he opened a series of projects aimed at luring Kamba voters. He also advised Ukambani's point man to desert Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) and join Jubilee Party.
According to Ruto, the only way development will trickle down to Ukambani if their leaders join Jubilee. Ruto said, “It is crystal clear that JP will win the next General Election and it is only fair for the community to ensure its stake in the next government is guaranteed.”
Ruto added that Kalonzo has space in Jubilee than Cord. He welcomed former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to the winning team. “We welcome your leader to gather courage and cross over to this other side because in his own words he has indicated that Cord is a house full of trouble.”
“The Sh54 billion Thwake dam will be the single largest dam investment in independent Kenya and will take around three years to complete. We are doing that because we have taken cognisance of the pressing water crisis in Ukambani. The Jubilee administration has done the best for this region in terms of appointments to key Government positions as well as initiating key development projects to improve the living standards of the locals and therefore it is up to you to make your choice,” Ruto said.
