Six legislators who were nominated in the 2013 bi-cameral Houses have made an entrance into elective positions after winning respective positions in the General Election.

They are among the nine nominated legislators who had gone for the elective posts.

Those who contested included senators Johnson Sakaja, Martha Wangari, Oburu Oginga, Beatrice Elachi, Elizabeth Ongoro, Janet Ongera,aisula Lesuuda, Janet Ongera and Zuleka Hassan.

However, Elachi and Ongoro lost.

Vying for the Nairobi senator seat, Sakaja beat ODM's Edwin Sifuna with 806,764 votes against 670,997.

Leesuda and Wangari clinched the Samburu West and Gilgil MP seats respectively.

Hassan and Ongera respectively won the Kisii and Kwale Women rep seats using ODM tickets.
