Ngeru observes that Governor Kabogo has performed to deserve a second term.

According to the nominated MCA who is eyeing the Thika Township Ward seat in the August 8 polls, Kabogo’s government needs a second term to complete and initiate more development projects that will improve the livelihoods of locals.

While lauding Kabogo’s government for realising success in the health sector, agriculture and spearheading women and youth empowerment, the nominated MCA noted that there has been prudent management of public funds and other resources.

The MCA urged locals not to be confused by petty politicians who are keen to advance their personal interests.

“We should now allow ourselves to be swayed and divided by politicians who only value their own interests and instead push for the election of leaders who will champion people's rights,” she said.

Governor Kabogo is seeking re-election for a second term as governor. He faces stiff competition from several aspirants who have vowed to send him packing in the August polls.

Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu is among aspirants seeking to unseat Governor Kabogo.

Others are real estate tycoon David Gakuyo, Agriculture consultant James Nyoro and business woman Njoki Gathendu both who are eyeing the Jubilee Party ticket.
