Kiambu County nominated MCA, Emily Warutere, has hit on the fellow MCAs opposed to area governors move of purchasing ward administrators new vehicles.
Warutere said that she is in full support of the governors idea and she will support it.
“I support the the motion since it will help ward administrators to serve our people well,” notes Warutere.
She added that the vehicles which are set to be available in the wards and sub-county administrators offices will be used to serve the residents and not the administrators as it is alleged by a section of MCAs.
She said that ward administrators will never be superior than the MCAs as the legislators are elected by the people they represent, while the administrators are nominated by the County Public Service Board.
She called on the fellow lawmakers to consider supporting the plan so as to ease the service delivery of the government towards the people.
Warutere has become the first MCA in Kiambu to publicly support the move after her counterpart Mary Mwangi opposed it.
Most elected MCAs in the county have publicly opposed to the idea.
The county government has plans to purchase 72 vehicles for the administrators which have faced opposition even after Governor William Kabogo went round urging residents to support his development plans.
