Nakuru County nominated MCAs have decried the discrimination they say is going on at the county assembly.
The MCAs say that most of the bills they take to the floor of the house are thrown out without consideration by their elected colleagues.
The allegations follow the dismissal of a bill that had been tabled by a nominated MCA, Irene Njeri.
Njeri's bill was proposing that the county government establishes a talent-development school for young people.
"We as nominated MCAs have been having a problem having any of our sponsored bills sailing through. We are 24, the elected ones are 55," said Njeri.
She added, "The elected MCAs have vowed to shoot all of our bills down. I do not understand because we have no working grudge with them," she added.
Njeri says that every member should be treated equally.
"When I was nominated to the assembly, I wanted the youths to benefit in one way or another. We should not be discriminated by anyone," said Njeri speaking in the precincts of the assembly on Friday.
