Kilifi nominated senator Christine Zawadi has pledged to campaign for the reelection of President Uhuru in the October 26th polls, Baraka FM has reported

Speaking at a rally held at Karisa Maitha sports ground in Kilifi, Christine lauded the Jubilee government for nominating her at the senate.

She vowed to deliver to her county despite the different political associations.

“I say thank you to President Uhuru Kenyatta for this gift of nominating me to the senate. I know he had a reason for that which is to ensure the people of Kilifi County get development,” she said as quoted by the local daily.

The outspoken leader thanked the government for implementing various projects within the area.

Programs which include water, education and improvement of road networks have improve the living standard of the people.

The recent launching of the school feeding program by the government will help curb the hunger problem in the region.

The women in the rally represented by Lucy Kenga, backed her up by pledging to vote for President Uhuru in the forthcoming election.

They praised the government for its development projects and its efforts to nominate a senator from their community.
