The senator asserted that unity and cooperation of leaders is paramount if the county is to achieve any development, further urging leaders to stop too much politicking and focus on addressing the problems facing the county.

“Political leaders should now focus on providing services to the people since it is almost three years when they were elected,” she said.

The nominated senator further pleaded with politicians to stop engaging in hateful messages and instead focus on peace campaigns.

She added that most parts of the county haven’t completely healed from the escapades of the 2007/2008-post poll chaos.

“Most of parts of the country that were largely affected by the chaos have not healed and engaging Kenyans in hate and tribalism will refresh the wounds,” she explained.

The senator at the same time congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta following the International criminal Court (ICC) withdrawal of crimes against humanity that faced him.

Wangari said that the withdrawal was long overdue, adding that the same will be done on the cases against Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang.

The senator said that being a free man, President Kenyatta will be able to work on the problems facing the country.
