A Nakuru businessman eyeing the Senatorial seat has asked leaders to take measures to end corruption.
Jack Waihenya said a time has come for Kenyans to take stock of what the leaders they elected have done for the last five years.
“As an Engineer I must say corruption occurs during the procurement and construction stages and we must fight this. It is high time Kenyans take a stock of what their leaders have done for the last five years before re-electing them," he said.
He refuted claims that his opponent Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika, who recently was appointed among the top team to spearhead presidential campaigns, will use the platform to gain popularity.
“The appointment of Kihika to lead the presidential campaign in this region has no impact on local politics. The president assured us that the nominations of Jubilee will free and fair conducted by IEBC. What I can request is that we have to maintain peace in our campaigns,“he said.
