President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured Kisii university students that none of its campuses will be closed.
The president's assurance was after a report by the CUE recommended the closure of some satelite campuses of Kisii university after they were found to be operating below required standards set by the CUE.
The president adressed the university students at a stopover at kisii university in main campus, during his state visit to Nyamira and kisii counties to push his reelection campaigns.
President Uhuru further assured the students that he was aware and had noted the infrastructural challenges that the institution was facing and promised to find an a micable solution to the matter.
"My government will facilitate the financing of stalled projects in the university so that it meets the necessary requirements by commission for university education,"said the president.
The president was referring to the stalled projects of an ICT centre and ultra-modern hostels that had stalled for over eight years.
