The family of renown actress, Lupita Nyong’o is upset with fake news that she is HIV-positive.This is after Houston Chronicle, a US-based online newspaper, published a story claiming that the '12 Years A Slave' actress was infected and is living with the virus.Speaking to Heads Up, Lupita’s dad, Kisumu senator Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o brushed off the news, terming them, nonsense.“It is all nonsense!” said Prof Nyong'o, who wants to be governor.According to SDE, the article on Houston Chronicle, was fabricated.The initial article is a true story of South African Isindigo TV series actress, Lesegfo Motsepe, who disclosed her HIV-positive status in 2011.The article written by Monica Laganparsad talks of Motsepe, who played Letti Matabane on SABC3’s Isidingo from 1998 to 2008, had kept her HIV status hidden for 13 years.It is alleged the names were changed in the article to read Lupita Nyong’o.
