Nakuru county is set to establish a noodle making factory in the near future following an agreement signed between Governor Kinuthia Mbugua and Wang Heshan of Ningxia Hui county in China.
Speaking at the ceremony on Thursday in China, governor Mbugua said potato value addition will be conducted whereby Nakuru County will adapt technology from Ningxia Hui County on the processing of noodles through potatoes.
"Both counties will carry out, in accordance with principles of equality and mutual benefit, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various forms in the fields of economy, trade, education, culture, personnel exchange, etc., in order to promote common prosperity and development in the region," part of the agreement reads.
The governor also discussed with Heshan the shared commonalities between both Counties, particularly in the Energy and Agricultural sectors.
This is due to the presence of Coal Energy in Ningxia and Geothermal in Nakuru.
This agreement was sealed following the 2nd Forum on Chinese-African Local Government Cooperation held in Beijing which was aimed at establishing ties of cooperation between the two counties making them sister cities.
