The Governors say their North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) will meet to see how their development plan align with the agenda, as a way to position themselves.

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos says it will be important for NOREB counties to set structures that conform to the big four pillars.

Tolgos said the national government will be channeling a lot of money to the big four agendas that President Uhuru Kenyatta's governance sets to capitalize in his second term.

"We shall be meeting with Governors from Noreb counties to set serious structures that will position us to the Jubilee's big four agendas," says Tolgos.

Noreb is an economic caucus, bringing together eight counties of the North Rift, who collectively bet on sports tourism, tourism and agriculture to grow their economies.

Tolgos said among issues to be discussed are ensuring that TVET institutions in their regions do not offer identical courses, as intakes and enrolments need to be increased.

President Kenyatta's government is keen on fulfilling The Big Four Pillars”: food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and affordable healthcare for all.

With North Rift lately experiencing investors' made rush especially to its epicenter of Eldoret, NOREB lays emphasis on technical personnel, saying those are highly sought after skills as industrialization beckons in the region.

At least 20 factories are being constructed under the Africa Economic Zones in Plateau, Uasin Gishu County.

"We shall need a lot of technical workforces, that is why my government is sponsoring technical engineers every year," Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago says.

Mandago is the chairman of the Noreb.
