Uasin Gishu County governor Jackson Mandago has refuted claims that the North Rift Economic Bloc (Noreb) is a white elephant.
Speaking during the Eldoret ASK show, he said the Noreb partnership has seen great change that had never been witnessed before.
"We have achieved a lot in Noreb. We have been able to root out common animal disease that has been attacking our livestock,'' said Mandago
According to him, the exploitation of the tourism site had placed the region so much than it was before devolution.
The Noreb chairman added that only few areas were yet to be finalised by the eight County assemblies.
"County assemblies are tasked with passing of legislation to meet the final program of Noreb. It is therefore not a single County issue,'' he added during the closing of the annual show.
On matters agriculture, the Jubilee leader, asked farmers to make use of the county's subsidised fertiliser which is now going at Sh200 up from the normal price of Sh1800.
He assured farmers that hopefully the national government would maintain the consistency of distributing fertiliser to farmers.
