He has asked NASA to forget about getting vote in North Eastern region.] (Photo:kenya-today.com)Garissa Governor hopeful Ali Bunow Korane has advised the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders to stop wasting their money campaigning in North Eastern region.
Korane claims that NASA will not win any seat in the region in the coming August 8 general election.
Addressing journalists in Garissa Town on Tuesday, Korane said that North Eastern is purely Jubilee zone and no amounts f NASA campaigns will sway locals.
“NASA leaders should take their vote hunt elsewhere because North Eastern is speaking the Jubilee language,” he said.
The Jubilee governor said that NASA cannot beat Jubilee government, stating that UhuRuto will retain power because of their development track record.
Korane claimed that NASA is desperate for power and is using crooked tactics to influence the outcome of August polls.
The Jubilee governor hopeful appealed to voters to be wise and reject politicians who he said are riding on empty promises and propaganda.
Korane is eyeing to send incumbent Nathif Jama packing. The former Permanent Secretary (PS says he is the best replacement for governor Jama who he says does not deserve to be re-elected.
Jama is seeking re-election on Wiper ticket and has dismissed Korane’s bid.
Senator Yusuf Haji’s younger brother Bashir Haji is also in the Garissa governor race vying on Amani National Congress (ANC) Party.
