Mandera Governor aspirant Hassan Noor has been fined Sh3 million by IEBC's code of conduct committee for chaos during President Uhuru Kenyatta's tour of the region.

IEBC code of conduct, chaired IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati, said the Economic Freedom Party aspirant was responsible for the chaos.

Governor Ali Roba of Jubilee was fined Sh1 million fine following last month's chaos that left many injured.

Marsabit Governor Ukur Yattani of Frontier Alliance Party was also fined Sh3 million after his supporters and those of his rival Mohammed Mohamud of Jubilee clashed.

Mohamed on his part was fined Sh1 million by the committee.

However, the committee dismissed the case between Kitui governor hopeful Charity Ngilu of Narc against  her rival incumbent governor Julius Malombe of Wiper.

The decision was arrived after Ngilu and Malombe failed to show up for the hearing of their case before the committee.

This comes as IEBC has assured Kenyans free, fair and credible election on August 8.

Security has also been beefed up with police officers deployed across  the country to offer security to the electorates before, during and after elections.
