National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has expressed confidence that Garissa residents and the rest of North Eastern region residents will vote for Jubilee.

Duale said the residents in the region have resolved to vote back President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration so that the region does not lose on the gains made.

“As the people of Garissa, Wajir, Mandera and Marsabit, we have resolved to vote for President Kenyatta,” he said on Monday at Garissa Primary School when President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto took Jubilee campaigns to Garissa County.

His sentiments were echoed by Garissa Governor Ali Korane who said the people of Garissa were ready to vote for President Kenyatta come October 26.

Duale, who is also the Garissa Township MP, told the opposition that there will be no dialogue over power-sharing adding that the constitution must be followed.

Addressing the rally, the Deputy President asked the opposition to stop excuses and prepare for elections saying Jubilee was ready to face the Opposition in the fresh election.

DP Ruto said it is impossible for the opposition to change what is on the constitution through demonstrations urging them to allow Kenyans to hold a peaceful election.

“We have accepted to participate in the 26th election not because President Kenyatta won or because he will win but because we respect the constitution. The reason he has withdrawn is he realized he will lose by a bigger margin” said the Deputy President.
