[Photo|Uasin Gishu County Government]Governors in the North Rift region have pledged to support all the development projects that had been initiated by Eldoret Catholic diocese Bishop Cornelius Korir.Speaking during the mass that was also used to raise funds to support Bishop Korir's work, the governors led by Turkana county's Josphat Nanok hailed the Bishop's passion not only in preaching peace and cohesion but also helping the less fortunate in the society.They on Monday singled out homes to children with special needs across the Rift valley region as some of the projects they will be willing to support.Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago called for the establishment of a Peace Conference Centre as a way of remembering the legacy that Bishop Korir has left. Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso who also attended the event pledged to ensure Bishop Korir's vision of establishing a girls school in the county becomes a reality.Bishop Korir was born and raised in Bomet county.Other Governors who were present were Stanley Kiptis (Baringo), Stephen Sang (Nandi) and Alex Tolgos (Elgeyo Makwet) all who named Bishop Korir as a peace maker.
