North Rift leaders have warned opposition leaders against issuing ultimatums and threats for them to participate in the October 26 presidential election.

They said opposition leaders were not ready for the election thus applying delaying tactics.

"Elections will be conducted on 26th October 2017 whether the opposition likes it or not. They are trying to dilly dally the elections by calling for the removal of IEBC officials which they know it's not possible," said Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi during a burial ceremony at Mosoriot, Saturday.

"There intention is to delay the elections for the country to be in a constitutional crisis for them to form a coalition government," added Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter.

They, however, condemned the Supreme Court for nullifying President Kenyatta's victory.

"I think the opposition leaders had a hand in the Supreme Court’s verdict since the detailed judgement does not have credible evidence for elections to be cancelled. Why were their lawyers conversing with the judges? The decision was politically castigates," noted Nandi County governor Stephen Sang.

The leaders condemned opposition leader Raila Odinga for always saying that his victory has been stolen.

"Why is Raila Odinga always crying foul that his votes are usually stolen. Why should he also steal if he thinks so? He should respect the voice of the people," reiterated Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.
