Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo has said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the most deserving presidential candidate for the 2022 polls.
Maanzo urged Kenyans to support the former Vice President's bid to enable him sail through in the next general elections.
Addressing the press at Wote town in Makueni County on Tuesday, the legislator argued that Kalonzo is the best suited presidential candidate among those who have announced their candidatures ahead of the polls.
Maanzo said even the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga wouldn't stand a chance with Kalonzo on the ballot, leave alone Deputy President William Ruto.
"The Wiper leader has proven himself worthy of the presidency since 2007 its only that he chose to rally behind Raila Odinga in the two terms to no success," Maanzo said.
He said Kalonzo has won the hearts of many Kenyans over the time hence his win in 2022 is a sure bet.
Maanzo said the ODM party has exhibited disrespect to other coalition parties for ejecting Moses Wetangula as the senate minority leader.
"Wetangula becoming the minority leader was the decision of the NASA principals in the summit held by the four principals. In the NASA summit, the four principals agreed that Wetangula be the minority leader hence it's unpleasant for selfish senators to out him from the position in the senate," Maanzo said.
He asked the ODM party to fulfill the Bomas draft on Kalonzo being the coalition's flag bearer to ensure Kenya is not led by only two communities.
