Activist Okiya Omtatah has rubbished any possibilities of the Supreme Court solving the ongoing rigging puzzle in the concluded August 8 general elections' presidential race following a presidential petition filed by the opposition alliance NASA.

Speaking during an interview on NTV Wednesday, the activist termed the ongoing battle pitting NASA, the ruling Jubilee Party and the national poll body IEBC as a 'charade' saying that no positive solution will be arrived at.

''Whatever is going on in the Supreme Court is just a charade with a clear and predictable ending,'' said Omtatah.

He maintained that the new Chief Justice David Maraga-headed bench cannot change the power battles among the political elites that has always been there after almost every general election.

He proposed that the nation adopts a new electoral process to ensure that the president is not elected using the majority vote as the system has always led to conflicts, accusations, and counter-accusations.

''I dont think the court can change our history. It is time we prevented this battles which have been in existence for too long by bringing on board a new election process that will lead to nationally acceptable results,'' he said.

In the petition, NASA has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election saying that he worked in cohorts with IEBC to rig the polls.

NASA has maintained that its flag bearer Raila Odinga won the elections.
