Lamu County government has dismissed a notice circulating in the region indicating that new executives will be sworn into office on Thursday.
Governor Fahim Twaha's aide Paul Wainaina said the notice which has invited the public to attend a swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed executives is fake.
He asked the residents to ignore the notice.
"There is no notice from the county on the swearing in of the new executive. Residents should ignore the propaganda being spread around," he said.
According to Wainaina, six cabinet nominees appointed by governor Twaha were vetted a week ago and the report is yet to be released before the executive is sworn into office to start service delivery.
