The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has advertised positions of top police commanders left vacant.
The positions were left vacant after President Uhuru conducted a reshuffle.
NPS has called on qualified applicants to make submissions by January 15.
Apeaking on Thursday, chairman Johstone Kavuludi said the process would be transparent.
“All officers interested and qualify are free to apply since no position is guaranteed for anybody and there would be no discrimination.
In case of any of the those three appointed on acting capacity fail to impress the interviewing panel, the officer who shall have performed well will be appointed,” Kavuludi is quoted by People Daily by telephone.
Ndegwa Muhoro, Joel Kitili and Samuel Arachi who previously served as Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and deputy inspectors general ((DIGs) in charge of Regular and Administration Police respectively are among senior officers set to be replaced.
