Wiper Party leaders have said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) resistance movement could be a plan to lock out Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka from the nation’s top seat in 2022.

A source has revealed to the Standard that the leaders of the party are not ready to back a movement that will deny the leader a chance of rising to the presidency. The leaders argued that the lack of clear strategy has made doubt the motive of the resistance movement.

“That is why as a party we are not keen on riding on the NRM as currently established because it could be another trap to edge out Kalonzo Musyoka in the 2022 political arrangement,” as quoted by the Local Daily.

Makueni Governor has however said that the leaders are dedicated to take an active role in the resistance.

“We want to play an active role in NASA going forward because we have a huge stake in a stronger NASA. We are looking at this in both short and long term,” Kibwana said.  Former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga has insisted that he will not recognize Uhuru as the head of state.
