Two National Resistance Movement MPs have vowed to sue the National Police Service and the Inspector General of Police for killings of “innocent” civilians during the pro-NASA supporters’ protests during the presidential repeat election on October 26 in Mavoko.

Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and Machakos woman representative Joyce Kamene on Friday made the announcements at Mulau village in Mwala, Machakos County during the burial of a 15-year-old late Joseph Kaloki who was allegedly shot dead by police at Jua Kali Slum in Athi River town on October 26.

The duo promised to present a case in court to seek justice for the victims.

They said governments across the world should protect their citizens but not kill them, “it pains to bury a 15-year-old boy whose crime was to obey his mother’s orders,” said Kamene.

Kamene said the deceased was on his way to the shops on request by his mother when he met his death through a bullet.

Makau has accused the Jubilee administration of abetting atrocities against its people maintaining it must be held responsible.

He said those responsible for the deaths and maiming of two other residents during the protests must be held to account.

Makau said he will be at the forefront in presenting the case against the police service and inspector general Joseph Boinnet in a bid of seeking justice for the victims and their families.
