Speaking to mourners on Wednesday, Raila said that before Ntimama died, he assured him that he had not moved to Jubilee.

"Ntimama called me during the time Maa leaders went to State House and told me he had not joined Jubilee," he said as quoted by The Star.

Raila added that Ntimama had gone to State House for the good of his community and see how the government could help his people.

The ODM leader praised Ntimama as one who stood by justice for his country and community.

He claimed that he had Ntimama’s support when ‘fighting to preserve’ the Mau, a move that was taken as Raila’s to evict people.

Ntimama was buried at his Motonyi home in Narok where several police officers were deployed to provide security and escort the cortege.

He died at his Melili home in Narok county on September 1.
