The late William Ole Ntimama will be buried with the ODM flag.
Cord leader Raila Odinga told mourners during Ntimama's burial on Wednesday that the former Narok MP had called him before his demise that he had not decamped to Jubilee.
"Ntimama called me during the time Maa leaders went to State House and told me he had not joined Jubilee," Raila was quoted by the Star as saying.
He said the late Ntimama's recent visit to State House did not indicate that he had joined Jubilee.
Mr Odinga said at no time had Ntimama indicated he had joined Jubilee.
He eulogized the late as one leader who stood firm on justice matters.
During the requiem mass at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, Raila urged government to implement the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission report in Ntimama's honour.
Ntimama is among politicians who served as ODM members for a long time.
He is among politicians who influenced the Maasai to vote for Mr Odinga during the 2013 general elections.
