The National Transport and Safety Authority has de-registered Ongata Line Company, following Sunday’s accident on Langata road that left four people dead.

In a statement, NTSA said the Company had flouted its rules and was therefore de-registered with immediate effect.

NTSA warned members of the public against boarding the company’s vehicle, adding that they shall be impounded if found operating on Kenyan roads.

“Following several violations of National Transport and Safety Authority (Public Service Regulations) 2014 by Ongata Line Company Limited and consequent meeting with the company regarding the same, the Authority has hereby de-registered the company as a Public Service Operator,” said NTSA.
