Speaking in Naivasha town on Saturday, NTSA Chairman Lee Kinyanjui told all the motorists who were present in the meeting that the safety teams main work is to deal with the errant drivers, therefore reducing the number of accidents.

"We have initiated an anti-drinking campaign during this December holiday, when many drivers are under the influence of alcohol.

The NTSA is very committed when it comes to reducing the number of accidents further and this time round we are targeting careless and drunk drivers and un-roadworthy vehicles," said Kinyanjui.

Kinyanjui went ahead and said that NTSA will work hand in hand with the traffic officers in a bid to reduce road carnage menace.

"We will be working with the traffic officers and those caught going against the law will be taken to court. This time round we want to have very minimal number of accident. We do not want to loose life during the holiday," said Kinyanjui.

He further urged all the people who will be travelling to ensure that they use roadworthy vehicles and to stop using overloaded vehicles.
