Motorists on Thika Road Super Highway were blindsided earlier today by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) with an operation designed to identify rogue motorists. Many drivers were arrested after being found in violation of the traffic rules and regulations. Many have interpreted the NTSA operation as a face-saving measure in the wake of mounting criticism over its failure to curb road carnage. The last few days have seen multiple road crashes that have resulted in deaths and serious injuries. The NTSA has been called upon to be firm and crack the whip on rogue drivers to reduce deaths as a result road crashes.Francis Mejja has rebuffed allegations that authority he heads has failed, saying that there is a limit to what NTSA can do.
