In a statement on Tuesday, NTSA Director General Francis Meja said that NTSA will put in place tough measures to nab those breaking traffic regulations.

“We will deploy officers along all major roads to ensure road safety during this year’s Christmas festival,” read Meja's statement.

He noted that drivers should not be over speeding a this will help curb accidents during this festive season.

He added that at night when there are few vehicles on the roads, drivers tend to violet traffic rules thus causing accidents.

Meja advised drivers to adhere to new road safety rules to reduce accidents.

"NTSA is procuring cameras to track corrupt traffic officers who demand bribes from rogue drivers and conductors", said Meja.
