National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) will modernise its Eldoret inspection unit in a move to improve its services.

NTSA board member Moses Nderitu said this will help serve more clients from the region faster and efficiency.

"We have set aside sh 100 million for the exercise which will commence soon. Once complete cases of clients queuing for many days will be a thing of the past," he said in Eldoret town after meeting matatu stakeholders, Wednesday.

"We will put up 3 ultra-modern automated lines for our customers to be served faster and reduce corruption. They inspection should spend less than a day," he added.

He, however, warned corrupt NTSA official saying that they will be arrested and charged since it is your right to be served.

"I want to give a stern warning to corrupt NTSA officials that their days are numbers and soon they will be shown the door. By taking bribes they are putting the lives of innocent Kenyans in danger," noted Nderitu.

He called upon matatu owners to observe the Michuki laws for sanity to prevail in our roads.
