Manual registration of vehicles will soon be replaced with a digital system.
According to the National Transport and Safety Authority's, the exercise will start Monday, June 13.
NTSA also revealed that the exercise will be quicker compared to the manual exercise as it will only take few minutes compared to the manual which could take more than a day.
The exercise to register and transfer ownership of vehicles will be done through the Transport Integrated Management System which is fast and time saving.
NTSA ICT director, Fernando Wangila, said at a press conference on Wednesday that the process of acquiring car logbooks, which currently takes up to a month, will now be easier and faster.
Robert Mugo, ICT Authority acting CEO, commended NTSA saying the initiative is part of efforts to improve government services to the public and increase efficiency. Mugo said this will promote transparency.
