Kisii county National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officer Aden Adoo has challenged bodaboda operators in the county to always follow traffic rules when conducting their transport business to avert frequent accidents that occur from time to time.
According to him many of accidents occurs due to careless driving prompting some to have body injuries while others even to lose their lives
Addressing bodaboda operators in Kisii town on Tuesday during world bodaboda celebration day, Adoo urged bodaboda riders not to drink when they conduct their business to avoid an accident.
“Be careful when riding your motorbikes life is much expensive you need to care for your customers’ lives and yours,” said Adoo.
He added, “Avoid drinking chang’aa and other alcoholic beverages once you drink you are in a position of making accidents and make sure you follow traffic rules always.”
Adoo also warned those who train for only 5 days and get to various roads to conduct such business, he urged that every individual that joins the team should be adequately trained.
