This was announced by the Nakuru County Chief Education Officer Joseph Tonui when he addressed participants at an Education Stakeholders Programmes Workshop at a local hotel on Thursday.

The education deputy executive noted that there was need to create standardized education programmes in all levels of education and training in the county, in order to raise the scale of academic performances in local institutions.

“We shall first of all seek to train our Nursery Schools teachers on standardized teaching methods. We want our educational institutions to have standard education merits so that there is a significant improvement in performances at all levels,” said Tonui.

He further noted that many local Nursery Schools were not registered by the government and operated their own teaching programmes.

While warning unregistered Nursery Schools, Tonui announced that the special teaching programme will also entail spearheading a campaign of rooting our fake Nursery Schools and teachers.

The County education boss urged stakeholders to come out to co-sponsor the programme which he said would take part begging May this year up to September.

“We at the ministry are welcoming more suggestions, plans and programmes from all stakeholders that will go in line with improving education standards in the county,” he added.
