Nurses union bosses led by the Kenya National Union of Nurses acting chairperson Joseph Ngwasi are currently attending a meeting at the Labour ministry.
This follows an invitation by Labour Cabinet secretary, Phylis Kandie.
The was also extended to the Council of Governors and the Health Principal Secretary.
The meeting is meant to seek ways that will lead to the calling off of the nurses strike that now threatens to paralyse the country’s health sector.
The conciliation meeting started at 10am.
Nurses began their strike on Monday, claiming that the Council of governors had refused to implement a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
