According to the county officials who attended the launch of international nurses week at Gusii stadium on Thursday, they hailed the nurses for the crucial role they are doing in helping patients in various health centers.

Kisii county Deputy governor Joash Maangi who was present at the launch said that through the nurses in the health centers patients were able to be served in support of them.

“Let us appreciate the good work done by the nurses, we will continue supporting them so that they can achieve their goals," said Maangi.

In addition, he said that there is not even one hospital which will work without the help of the nurses since they have a big role to play.

“The nurses are the key pillars in our health institutions hence we need to recognise and motivate them so that they can all work well,” said Maangi.

The launch was also attended by the Governor James Ongwae who also hailed and promised to support them.
